About Laguna College Counseling

Kristin Thomas, M.Ed. Mrs. Thomas has spent the past 25 years involved in education. As a teacher in both public and private schools, a K-8 technology specialist, volunteer in classrooms, a leader in PTA at the local and county level, and as a program director for an educational non-profit, she has shown a dedication to lifelong learning and a passion for the education of our young people.

Kristin's own education includes a Masters in Education from UCLA, a BA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, K-12 schooling in Capistrano Unified and most recently the completion of a year long certificate program from UCLA in College Counseling.

Along with completing the certificate program at UCLA in College Counseling, Kristin has active memberships in IECA, HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association), WACAC (Western Association of College Admissions Counseling) and NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Counseling). Frequent college visitations and conference attendance are also a regular part of staying current in the ever-changing field of college admissions and consulting.
